Roller press granulator production line: Analysis of suitable fertilizer crusher types

Roller press granulator production lines have high requirements for raw material dryness and particle size uniformity. Selecting the appropriate fertilizer crusher is crucial to ensuring granulation efficiency and finished product quality. The core requirement is to match the characteristics of the granulation raw materials; blindly choosing high-end equipment is unnecessary.

Cage fertilizer crushers are the core suitable choice, primarily for coarse crushing of dry materials. They can efficiently process raw materials with a moisture content ≤20% (such as dry livestock manure, straw, etc.). Relying on toothed impact crushing, they can break up agglomerates and achieve uniform particle size, directly meeting the raw material pretreatment requirements of roller granulation. Furthermore, their simple structure and resistance to clogging make them suitable for continuous operation of the production line.

Hammer crushers can be used as a supplementary choice. If the raw material contains a small amount of hard impurities, their impact resistance can prevent equipment jamming. They also allow for flexible adjustment of the crushing particle size, adapting to different granulation specifications and suitable for scenarios with complex raw material compositions.

Note that half-wet material crushers and chain fertilizer crushers are not suitable for direct pairing. The former is suitable for high-humidity materials, but has low efficiency in processing dry materials and is prone to sticking; the latter lacks sufficient crushing power, resulting in incomplete crushing of dry, hard materials, which affects granulation results and increases equipment wear.

In summary, a cage crusher should be prioritized for use in a roller press granulator production line. A hammer crusher can be used as a supplement when the raw materials are complex. Avoiding incompatible models is crucial to ensuring high production efficiency and qualified finished products.
