Five double roller press granulators disassembled into modules and loaded for shipment

Our company recently completed the modular disassembly and containerized loading of five double roller press granulators in the shipping area, with the entire shipment bound for Malaysia. To handle the simultaneous transport of five units, the logistics department devised a “mixed container” plan, utilizing two high-cube containers and one open-top container to accommodate the load.

During disassembly, each unit was separated into two main sections: the upper assembly (comprising the feed hopper, extrusion rolls, and gear motor) and the lower assembly (comprising the frame and base). These sections were connected by four locating pins and packaged separately after disassembly. The upper assembly, weighing approximately 1.2 tons, was lifted into the open-top container using a specialized lifting rig; the lighter lower assembly was pushed in using a forklift. The upper assemblies of all five units were loaded into the open-top container, arranged in two rows (two to three units per row) and secured to the container floor with chain hoists. The lower assemblies were loaded into a high-cube container, with the frames bolted together to minimize relative movement during transit.

A separate high-cube container was dedicated to accessories and standard tools, including ten sets of spare roll shells, five sets of hydraulic cylinder seals, drive belts, and electrical spares. All accessories were categorized into five groups based on the specific machine unit number; each group was packed separately and labeled (e.g., “Machine No. 1,” “Machine No. 2”) to facilitate rapid distribution upon the customer’s receipt of the goods.

Following loading, the three containers were weighed, and the total weight matched the declared figures. The accompanying packing list detailed the contents of each box in both Chinese and English and included disassembly and assembly diagrams for the equipment. The shipment has been handed over to the freight forwarder and is scheduled for sea transport to Malaysia.
