Straw Crusher
The straw crusher is a crushing equipment specifically designed for fibrous materials such as straw, rice straw, and forage grass. It plays a crucial role in organic fertilizer production and feed processing by cutting and crushing long-fiber materials. It uses high-speed rotating blades to shear and crush the material, processing bundled or loose long straw into fine shreds or powder, facilitating subsequent fermentation and composting or direct use as feed. The equipment has a robust structure and wear-resistant blades, making it a commonly used piece of equipment in the organic fertilizer and feed industries for processing straw-based raw materials.
Working Principle
The material is fed into the inlet by a conveyor belt or manually, and is cut and crushed by the blades on the high-speed rotating rotor. The material is repeatedly sheared between the blades and the fixed blades, while simultaneously being propelled towards the outlet by the airflow within the crushing chamber. The crushed material is discharged through a screen, with the fineness controlled by the screen aperture. Throughout the process, the blades continuously rotate and cut, gradually shortening and crushing the long-fiber material until the required output is achieved.
Equipment Composition
Casing and Crushing Chamber: Welded steel plate structure with wear-resistant lining on the inner wall; the chamber is divided into upper and lower sections for easy maintenance.
Rotor and Blades: Multi-layer blade holder mounted on the main shaft; blades made of alloy tool steel with sharp edges that can be sharpened multiple times.
Fixed Blade Assembly: Fixed blades mounted on the casing, forming a shearing pair with the rotating blades.
Screen: Arc-shaped multi-hole screen plate; the aperture determines the output fineness; quick replacement possible.
Transmission System: The motor drives the main shaft via a belt; the pulley diameter is interchangeable to adjust the speed.
Frame: Welded steel base supporting the entire machine and equipped with shock-absorbing pads.
Performance Characteristics
Excellent Fiber Crushing: The blade shearing method provides high efficiency in crushing long fiber materials such as straw, producing uniform filamentous or powdery outputs.
Durable Blades: High-hardness alloy steel blades can be sharpened multiple times and reused, resulting in low maintenance costs.
Adjustable Fineness: Output fineness can be adjusted by changing the screen aperture.
Convenient Feeding: Wide feed inlet; can be equipped with a conveyor belt for automatic feeding.
Overload Protection: Belt drive overload protection in case of slippage protects the motor and blades.
