Common Faults Analysis and Solutions of Double Roller Press Granulator

  1. Wear and unevenness of roller surface

Performance: It will cause inconsistent particle shape or even failure to form particles. In severe cases, it will also affect the overall performance of the equipment.

Solution: Regularly check the wear of the roller surface and replace the rollers with severe wear in time. Adjust the gap and pressure of the rollers to ensure that the material is evenly compressed.

  1. Material blockage

Performance: The material is blocked at the feed port or between the rollers, causing the equipment to fail to operate normally.

Solution: Check whether the material humidity and particle size meet the requirements to avoid the entry of overly wet or overly fine materials. Clean the blocked parts and keep the inside of the equipment clean.

  1. The material is not spherical but cake-shaped

Performance: The material cannot form spherical particles during the granulation process, but forms cakes or other irregular shapes.

Solution: Increase the feed amount to ensure sufficient material supply. Adjust the gap between the rollers to ensure uniform gaps.

  1. Particles cannot fall

Performance: The material cannot fall off the roller after granulation, causing the equipment to be blocked or unable to operate normally.

Solution: Replace the material with less water content to reduce the humidity of the material. Adjust the pressure control system of the equipment to increase the pressure strength of the ball blank. Grind the surface of the new socket to make it smooth to facilitate the material to fall off.

  1. Circumferential misalignment of the ball socket

Performance: The position of the ball socket on the roller is misaligned, resulting in uneven granulation or failure to proceed normally.

Solution: Tighten the bolts after the socket to ensure that the position of the ball socket is fixed. Replace the roller skin or shaft of the Double Roller Press Granulator to solve the problem of loose fit between the roller skin and the shaft.

  1. Motor failure

Performance: Abnormal operation of the motor, such as overheating, loud noise, vibration, etc., which may cause the equipment to shut down in severe cases.
