Large Angle Belt Conveyor
The large angle belt conveyor is a user-friendly and reliable material-lifting unit used in fertilizer workshops to transport materials from lower levels to higher workstations. Unlike bucket elevators, it requires no foundation pit, and unlike screw conveyors, it is not restricted by steep inclination angles; a single conveyor belt equipped with sidewalls and cleats can securely transport materials at near-vertical angles. Operators need only ensure uniform feeding and monitor the belt’s running condition, while maintenance focuses on checking belt wear and bearing lubrication—making it a hassle-free vertical conveying solution for fertilizer production lines.
Working Principle
Material is deposited onto a conveyor belt featuring corrugated sidewalls and transverse cleats, which divide the material into discrete segments. The drive pulley propels the belt upward, with the cleats cradling the material as it rises. Corrugated sidewalls on both sides act as barriers to prevent spillage. Upon reaching the top and passing around the pulley, the belt inverts, allowing the material to fall into the discharge hopper under the influence of gravity and centrifugal force. The empty belt then returns along the underside to the loading point to begin the cycle again.
Operation Methods
Before startup, visually inspect the belt surface for damage, check the integrity of the sidewalls and cleats, and ensure there is no material buildup on the pulley surfaces. Start the equipment without a load to observe whether the belt runs smoothly and tracks correctly.
Once running normally, begin uniform feeding; use a feeder to control the input rate and ensure material is evenly distributed across the belt without overloading. During operation, periodically monitor the drive pulley temperature, belt tension, and discharge flow.
To shut down, stop the feed first and wait until the belt is completely clear of material before stopping the main unit. For extended shutdowns, slightly loosen the tensioning device to minimize belt deformation caused by prolonged tension.
Scope of Application
Organic fertilizer production lines: Elevating fermented materials, crushed materials, mixtures, and finished granules from ground level to elevated equipment.
Compound fertilizer production lines: Elevating and conveying various raw material blends to the granulator’s feed hopper.
Bio-organic fertilizer production: Gentle vertical transport of materials containing microbial agents, ensuring no material breakage or segregation.
Feed processing: Vertical or steep-angle conveying of feed ingredients and finished products (both granular and powdered).
Chemical powders: Enclosed vertical transport of chemical raw material powders and granules.
