Cyclone Dust Collector

A cyclone dust collector is a dust removal device that uses the centrifugal force generated by a rotating airflow to separate particulate matter from the airflow. It has a simple structure and low operating cost, and is widely used for gas purification in various industrial production processes, such as cement, chemical, metallurgical, power, food processing and other industries, to remove dust and particulate matter from flue gas.

Equipment Structure And Composition

The cyclone dust collector mainly consists of the following parts:
Inlet pipe: used to guide dusty gases into the dust collector, designed in a tangential or spiral shape to promote airflow rotation.
Cyclone body: This is the main part of a cyclone dust collector, usually cylindrical in shape with smooth inner walls, used to generate and maintain a rotating airflow, achieving centrifugal separation of particulate matter.
Cone: Located below the cyclone body, it has a conical shape that helps to further separate and collect particulate matter.
Exhaust pipe: located at the top of the cyclone body, used to discharge purified gas.
Ash hopper: located at the bottom of the cone, used to collect and store separated particles.
Ash discharge device: such as star shaped discharge valve, screw conveyor, etc., used to regularly remove particulate matter from the ash hopper.

Working Principle

The dusty gas enters the cyclone dust collector through the intake pipe and enters the cyclone cylinder in a tangential or spiral manner, forming a high-speed rotating airflow. Under the action of centrifugal force, heavier particles are pushed towards the cylinder wall and then fall along the wall into the ash hopper, achieving separation from the airflow. The purified gas is discharged through the central exhaust pipe. The rotating airflow continuously decelerates in the cyclone body and cone, further improving the separation efficiency and ultimately achieving the goal of dust removal.

Equipment Features

Efficient separation: For larger particle sizes, cyclone dust collectors have high separation efficiency.
Simple structure: no moving parts, compact structure, low maintenance cost.
Reliable operation: easy to operate, stable, adaptable, capable of handling gases with high temperature and high dust concentration.
Economical and practical: The initial investment and operating costs are relatively low, suitable for small and medium-sized gas purification needs.
Wide applicability: Suitable for the separation of various dry and non viscous dust.
Environmental protection and energy conservation: No secondary pollution, relatively low energy consumption.
